Omaha North Graduation Quilt

It was a fruitful week. There was a lot of piece work for this quilt. I think it really turned out great! Ola’s son will be happy with the Omaha North High School colors for this 25 Block Window Pane in Var. Blue and Yellow.  It should be more than big enough for his dorm. Finished size is 102″x 102″.

I cannot wait to deliver it. I get so excited when a quilt is finished. I just cannot wait to see if the finished quilt is what was expected.

And Graduation begins

Today I begin the graduation season. I will start prepping shirts for Ola’s quilt for her son who will be graduating high school this year. There will be a lot of combining logos in this one. But I know the blocks will be wonderful. It will be a full day of cutting, ironing and re-cutting for this 25 block Window Pane in Var. Blue and Yellow. Go…Omaha North!

In Memory of a brother

I had the pleasure of completing a quilt in memory of Cindy H’s brother. It is truly a work of art. Each block stands alone as a piece of artwork. All buttons still attached, all pockets still open. Not a t-shirt in the bunch.

It was an adventure prepping and piecing this quilt. It was very much worth the time and effort. It really did turn out as a beautiful memory for a loved brother.

Silky shirt quilt

I have been working on a quilt lately that is composed of silky button-up shirts and beaded vests. It has been quite the adventure just prepping the shirts. Each shirt is unique and really shows the personality of the previous wearer. I am excited to be able to feature each shirt as a work of art in this quilt for Cindy H, in memory of her brother.
